There are some families you photograph and never forget, and Libby's family is one of them. When they returned to Pensacola Beach this year with their newest addition, I couldn't help but think back to their first session in 2024 and some of my favorite images from that evening.


As we moved through this year's session, I naturally found myself recreating a few of those moments. It wasn't until afterward, when I placed the images side by side, that the significance really hit. Watching their oldest grow, seeing a new baby in their arms, and comparing the two seasons of life was incredibly special. When I shared the comparisons with Libby, she was so touched—and honestly, so was I.


One of my favorite parts of being a family photographer is building relationships that go beyond a single session. It's a privilege to watch families grow and to preserve the moments that, before you know it, become memories.
