My best friends got married...a year ago
Lilli and Josh are two of my best friends, so getting to stand beside them on their wedding day was already incredibly special. One year later, being invited back to document their anniversary felt just as meaningful. Lilli had the sweetest idea to slip back into her wedding dress and recreate bridal portraits at the very church where they were married.
Her gown was just as stunning as the day she wore it the first time—delicate lace sleeves, a dramatic long veil, and so much timeless beauty. After revisiting those classic moments, we headed back to the hotel they were staying at for their anniversary weekend, where things took a fun, modern turn. A quick outfit change into a short white dress (veil still very much included) led to flash-filled anniversary photos that felt bold, playful, and completely them.
Somehow, a random hotel hallway turned into the setting for some of my favorite images—proof that the best photos often come from leaning into creativity, nostalgia, and a little bit of fun.
