Recreating Summer Memories


There are some family traditions that only become more meaningful with time. Every summer, Perla and her family travel from Fort Worth to the beach, and getting to document those memories has become one of my favorite traditions too.


In 2025, Perla showed me a few of the photos she recreates with her girls each year. When they returned this summer, we recreated those same moments again—only this time, all three girls were a little bigger.


As a photographer herself, it means so much that Perla trusts me to capture her family's story year after year.
