Hosted by Ellenberg & Co.
Growing up in a military town and with two grandfathers that served in the Army and Air Force, I have always had a special appreciation for our military and the sacrifices they and their families make. I have always dreamed of shooting military content (specifically military homecomings), and when the opportunity to join Ellenberg & Co.'s content day came about, I was probably the first to sign up. Getting to shoot on the flight line with Chinooks at golden hour? Definitely a dream come true.
Fun Facts about the Chinook.
According to Rod Hynes from Honeywell Aerospace Technologies, "The Chinook is one of only two military aircraft developed in the 1960s still in production and service after 50 years – the other is the C-130. [...It is also] capable of balancing on its two rear wheels, on the edge of a cliff for example, while still hovering in a maneuver called a pinnacle landing."
