Why Diet Coke?

"My grandmother was a hairstylist for 50 years. Growing up watching her in the salon is how I knew becoming a hairstylist was my dream job. Every morning my grandmother drinks a cold Diet Coke (she doesn’t like coffee) and eats orange lance crackers still to this day. Before my grandfather passed, every morning when he made his coffee he would place my grandmother's Diet Coke in the freezer to get icy. They would sit and have breakfast together every morning for 63 years. Diet Coke is not only my fave drink, but it reminds me of everything to do with my grandparents. That first crisp sip just hits different knowing I’m following in her footsteps and hoping for a marriage like theirs."
